Student teaching during the COVID-19 Pandemic
-"What changes have you made or adjusted to adapt to Remote Learning?"
Teaching art remotely comes with it's own unique challenges and obstacles. Between sending supplies home or working with what students already have on hand, creating online materials and trying to help students through a computer screen, there is a lot of hard work and flexibility an educator has to put forward to create a meaningful experience for students. I had both remote and in person experiences during student teaching and as a result I feel as if I got the most out of my time as it gave me an opportunity to experience what teachers are currently juggling. It has resulted in me applying numerous types of new technology, increasing my already refined attention to detail and opened my eyes to how helpful and crucial communication and teamwork with my fellow educators is. Just because we can't be together in person, doesn't mean we lose our sense of community.
